This year I have decided to run the AJ Bell Half Marathon on Sunday 5th October in aid of HCPT Group 77. As many of you will know I have travelled to Lourdes with HCPT since 2017. During this time I have provided many life-changing pilgrimaged holidays to children with additional support needs and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. This opportunity allows children to have a week away from their normal challenging lives, develop their confidence, independence and resilience, whilst truly empowering them to tackle all challenges they may face on a daily basis.

To volunteer in Lourdes at Easter it costs £1100 per adult volunteer and roughly £1300 per child to travel. My hope is between now and April to raise enough money for myself and a child to travel. Extra money received will be added to group funds which will go towards day trips, sweet treats, and clothing for the children.
