Groshek Adoption Fund

Help the Groshek family grow their adoption funds to bring home Harper's biological brother!

 

This year brought a variety of milestones to the Groshek family including a one-of-a-kind opportunity they can't pass up. This coming year, the Groshek family has the amazing opportunity of adopting Harper's biological sibling. Harper's adoption was budgeted by the family for several years, but with current average adoption expenses crossing well into the $30,000-$40,000 range, the family is in need of some support to get Harper's sibling home. Because Harper and the baby are so close in age, it did not fully allow the Grosheks to replenish their funds, but they are determined to figure out how to make it work to keep these special siblings together. The funds raised by this GoFundMe will be applied directly to the adoption fees to bring baby home to Wisconsin.

Why are adoptions so expensive? "Adoption is expensive because the process to legally adopt a baby requires the involvement of attorneys, social workers, physicians, government administrators, adoption specialists, counselors and more" (americanadoptions.com). These individuals along with adoption agencies mean that potential adopting families face large fees along with the typical children expenses. Harper’s birth mother had the opportunity to choose another family for this child, but the relationship between the Grosheks and Harper’s birth mom is so strong she chose the Grosheks again!
