Hi, 16 Griffith University Nursing students have created this GoFundMe page to gather donations to support our community health outreach project. Our project occurs between the 25th of November and 17th of December 2023 to provide for the Mai Chua Hospital and Rural communities in northern Vietnam.

We are providing for an impoverished population without regular health access. Hospitals, clinics and communities in Vietnam don't have essential resources to deliver health care; therefore, our donations will support our local project by purchasing medical equipment and resources such as Days for Girls kits (period kits), educational toys, school resources, sports equipment, clothing, toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap.

Join us in providing for a poorer community that deserves excellent quality care and resources like in Australia.

EDIT: Donations have now closed. Your amazing donations have supported many families in Vietnam. The donation money was used to purchase various items listed below;

- Blood glucose machines and strips

- 6 x sets of Crutches 

- 2 x Wheelchairs 

- Various boxes of reading glasses

- Sponsored a lady to support her as she was poor and couldn’t afford transport or medical treatment. This lady had a slipped disc who returned to the nursing clinic the next day and explained the treatment she recieved and will continue to receive due to our donation 

- Donation to a local clinic to purchase maternity equipment they required, this included a computer, baby suction machine, baby heater and mobile surgical light)

- The remaining funds were utilised to go towards a group project through Discover.
