Thank you for taking the time to click on our link. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our upcoming plans to join a cause close to our hearts. Like many of you, we have followed the news and watched in bewilderment as the events in Ukraine unfolded. We have shared the heartbreak and helplessness of our close friends who watched their native cities turn into ruins, as their relatives hid in basements. Our connection to Russia makes this more difficult to bear, as many of our relatives who are still there and who disagree with the actions of their country have to endure the fallout.

On August 29th, we are flying to Poland for several days to assist in the volunteer effort. The organizations there provide resources and assistance to those fleeing Ukraine. They send humanitarian aid and help find shelter for those who have decided to leave. We will be staying in Medyka, about 1.2 miles from the border, and working at either the Przemysl railway station or the Tesco humanitarian aid center.

In anticipation of our trip, we will purchase supplies for those leaving the country as requested by the organization. All funds in excess of our goal will be donated directly to their effort. Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated.
