Greg’s Post Accident Expenses
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Mackenzie Wilson and I’m creating my this GoFundMe on behalf of my Stepfather, Greg Page, and my Mother, Melinda Page. On September 18th, 2023, my stepfather got into a car accident early in the morning. Due to existing medical conditions we believe he passed out and ran off the road and almost lost his life. Resulting in the car flipping multiple times, hitting a power pole, and a tree, and ultimately ejecting him from the vehicle. He was taken to Catawba Hospital where we found out he has several broken ribs, a small fracture on his spine, a broken temporal bone, broken shoulder blade and collarbone, needed 20 staples in the back of his head, stitches behind his knee, and had bleeding from his ear. With all the trauma he endured they transported him to Wake Forest Baptist in Winston Salem. He was sent to the Trauma Center and was admitted for 3 days. He ended up needing surgery on his collarbone and shoulder blade due to the extent of his injuries in that area. For those 3 days my Mother never left his side. She stayed at the Hospital with him. And she hasn’t left his side since then. Taking care of him but also taking care of herself. She’s the strongest woman I know and I aspire to be as selfless as she has been throughout all of this. With that being said, he was discharged on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 and finally got to come home. He has a long road to recovery. Due to the extent of his injuries, he will be out of work for at least 2 months. During that time Him and my mom will need some sort of assistance in order to pay their rent and bills. But also to pay for travel between Winston Salem and Asheville for therapy. I’m asking you to please donate and if you may not have the money to donate to please share this!! It would mean the world to Greg, My Mom, and Myself. It’s been a tough week but we know he’s strong and he will get through this! Thank you in Advance!
