Greenleaf Employee Hurricane Relief

On October 8th, Hurricane Mathew left up to 17 inches of rain in eastern North Carolina.   Flood waters from the Tar River inundated several towns in the vicinity of Greenleaf NurseryCompany  of Tarboro, North Carolina.  

Greenleaf is one of North America’s largest wholesale growers.  In addition to our location in Tarboro, we have facilities in Oklahoma and Texas.

Unfortunately, several of our North Carolina coworkers lost their homes and belongings to the flood.  We currently know of nine families who have suffered from this great loss.   We expect this number to increase as most employees have not been able to travel to work due to flooded roads in the region. 
This fund was created by the Greenleaf territory representatives who are based out of our Tarboro, NC office.  Abbey Burka , Ellen Deely, Larry Carwright and Chris Gaydos. 

We want to assist the impacted employees in any way that we can.  This fundraising will provide monetary support in addition to the assistance that we’re offering through donations of food, clothing and household items.  All of the money collected will be distributed among those who were affected.

 Mother Nature is so unpredictable and can devastate people so quickly.   The majority of the early coverage of this storm was aimed towards Florida.   The national media has not focused attention to the devastation in North Carolina.  The damage is severe here.  This money is much needed and will help those families who have lost everything. We appreciate any help you can give! Thank you.
