Green Village Hope Children’s Home (GVHCH) in Ipali, Western Kenya, offers a loving home to orphaned and vulnerable children, as well as support to teenage mothers and widows affected by poverty and HIV/AIDS. Since 2008, GVHCH has helped over 70 children, providing food, shelter, education, and care.
Right now, 25 children live at the home, with 13 more receiving community support. With your donation, you help provide basic needs, belonging, and hope.
As we prepare to visit Green Village Hope Children’s Home (GVHCH) this August, you have the chance to make a direct impact!
Here’s a list of priority gifts and supplies you can contribute towards:
School Supplies: Notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, sharpeners, coloring books, crayons, and storybooks to support learning and creativity.
Hygiene Products: Soaps, shampoos, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and sanitary pads for older girls, so every child can stay healthy and confident.
First-Aid & Medicines: Painkillers, bandages, antiseptic wipes, and basic first-aid kits for everyday emergencies.
Clothes & Shoes: New or gently used clothes and shoes for boys and girls ages 4–18.
Games & Sports Equipment: Footballs, volleyballs, badminton and tennis sets, board games, skipping ropes, and frisbees to encourage play and teamwork.
Toys: Colorful and educational toys to bring smiles and stimulate learning.
Educational Materials: Books, puzzles, and more board games to foster curiosity and knowledge.
Electronics: Simple tablets or iPads, wrist watches, a video game set, a Bluetooth speaker for group activities, and a keyboard for music learning enhance learning and fun.
Monetary Donations: Help us buy essential food and support ongoing projects.
