Greater Lowell Tech and Lowell General Hospital
Donation protected
Hello friends, this month our Lowell General Hospital operating room was invited to speak at Greater Lowell Tech. We were blessed with the opportunity to interact with, and motivate 300 young people pursuing careers in healthcare. The youth asked about personal finances, higher education commitments, career mobility within LGH, how to seek mentorship, how to support their emotional well-being. Wow. These amazing students inspired our hospital team.
70% of the students at GLTH deal with difficult financial instability, or domestic challenges. Their visions are powerful, community oriented, and service oriented, yet life has not been forgiving for many.
Please join me in supporting the children of our community, and to foster them towards success and stability. We'll certainly be working alongside, receive care from, and will certainly be led by many of these talented students one day.
The cost of two pairs of scrubs is $105.50. A gait belt is $12.00. Stethoscopes range depending onf the brand, $62 for a Litmann. Funds are sometimes used for testing. CCMA exam is $165 (Medical Assisting). CNA exam is $110 (Health Assisting)
Please also leave any comments or words of inspiration and motivation. These will be compiled and shared with the students, along with the names of our generous donors.
Alternatively, checks can be written out to Greater Lowell Technical High School, to be collected by Jill Romero, Dave Shi, or Dierde at the LGH OR, or by Valerie Branco at GLTH.
