We, the Greater Boston Marxists Association, are raising monetary donations, as well as bring together our own resources, and to create care packages for our communities in need! As of now we hope to serve families most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis all around the Cambridge, Lowell and Brockton communities.
As we begin to cultivate and bring together our resources at GBMA, we are asking for donations from anyone who is willing or able. These donations will directly and strictly go to the resources and creation of the Greater Boston Marxists Community Care Packages.
The items and supplies to acquire vary from items such as:
- Protective gear: Reusable or recyclable masks and gloves
- Sanitary Supplies: Tampons, Pads, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, flushable wipes
- Washing Supplies: Hands soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, brushes and combs
- Cleaning supplies: Paper towels, cleaning wipes and sanitary spray
- Canned and dried foods
- Coupon booklets
- Children's coloring books
Each care package will be tailored directly to the communities to which we hope to serve by surveying community members anonymously and allowing for community members to pick up at specific GBMA Care Package Set up locations in their area. We'll be releasing the dates and location within the upcoming weeks.
We, at Greater Boston Marxist Association, hope to enact direct care to communities of Greater Boston through this campaign and hope anyone who can will donate materials or donations to the fund within their ability.
