Great North Run for MNDA
Hi guys,
On the 8th September I will be running the Great North Run in Newcastle with a few friends to raise money for MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association) an organisation that supported my family and I for numerous years after my mums diagnosis.
Sadly six months ago I lost my mum, the most important person in mine and my family’s life to this disease. She battled through for over 3 years and so my friends and I have decided to run the Great North Run in her memory and to raise money to help fund research into finding a cure. Over the 3 years of living with this disease, the MNDA provided enormous amounts of support to my mum and family so raising money for this association is so important to me as they continue their research into finding a cure.
There are currently 5000 people in the UK living with MND. Raising money is essential to providing physical and emotional support to patients and their families.
The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those living with or affected by MND.
I’ve added a link to the MNDA page if you are interested in finding out more about the amazing work this organisation do
Thank you in advance for all your support.
