Great Glen Way walk for Charity
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my GoFundMe page.
My name is Prospect Motsi. In 2021, my wife Purity and I traveled to Idjwi, a small island located between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda. During our visit, we volunteered with an organisation called Prolasa International, which works with the Pygmies of Congo. Additionally, we were introduced to the International Children's Care (ICC) charity. This remarkable charity provides housing, education from primary school to university, and vocational training to orphaned children, helping them integrate into society.
Children at ICC are educated in their local language, and while some find employment in local towns or villages after university, many struggle due to the limited job market in the area. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to enhance the children's education by installing internet access and video conferencing facilities. This will not only connect the children to the outside world but also facilitate English language education. Incorporating English into their curriculum will significantly improve their job prospects beyond their local communities.
To support this cause, I will be walking the Great Glen Way in Scotland, a 120 km (74 miles) trail from Fort William to Inverness, which should take between 5-7 days. All funds raised will go directly towards helping the children on Idjwi through the ICC charity.
Your support can make a heartfelt difference in their lives. Thank you for your generosity.
