Hello, my name is ShaToya Wallace. As you all may know, I had my baby boy 4 months early back in July. I just started working in Housekeeping at UT Hospital on Beckham and had to get admitted into the hospital two days after starting due to chronic hypertension and the development of severe preeclampsia. I couldn’t walk on my left leg due to pain, and they said I was going to be in the hospital until the baby came. Of course, me being me and having taken in my 4 nieces and nephews 8 years ago, I needed to make money, so I had to call my boss and let her know and see about holding my job. I have 4 kids and one about to enter the world. It’s been about 3.5 months, and I’ve been to interviews, was told I’m hired, done my background, drug test, and blood test, and of course, they said they’re on a ‘Hiring Pause.’ Or I’m underqualified or overqualified for the position.

I’m asking for donations for my Grayson Watkins to get his car seat, stroller, diapers, and wipes, and all the things he needs when he comes home from the NICU.
