On this Friday 7th of March, it is our great pleasure as gra.si.students4palestine to host Karim Ali from Gaza Sunbirds during our fundraising event at Begane Grond. Karim will join us for a conversation on "ORGANIZING BIG", along with a reading session, art/clothes market, and food!!
Gaza Sunbirds is Palestinian's para-cycling team, which gained global recognition over the past fifteen months by delivering aid within the Gaza Strip. Co-founded back in 2020 by Karim Ali and Alaa al-Dali, Gaza Sunbirds established a squad of 20 amputee athletes, overcoming Israel's ongoing oppression and genocidal crimes.
In the past fifteen months, they achieved to deliver $400K of aid and to evacuate Alaa, who is to become the first Palestinian racer in the Para-Cycling World Championships.
This fundraiser aims to provide support to Gaza Sunbirds in their astonishing ascension and to cover the costs of the event for gra.si.students4palestine.
90% of the funds gained will directly be transmitted to Gaza Sunbirds.
