Grapplethon 2026: Fourth Edition — Fighting for Men’s Mental Health
Date: 26/09/2026
Start Time: 12:00 PM
Duration: 24 Hours
Location: RGA Preston
Purpose: Raising funds and awareness for men’s mental health and suicide bereavement support
This September, we return to the mats for the fourth edition of Grapplethon — a 24-hour endurance event bringing together the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wider grappling community for a cause that means so much to us.
Over the past three years, Grapplethon has raised more than £15,000** for charities supporting men’s mental health and those affected by suicide bereavement.
What started as a way to remember our dear friend Gary has grown into something much bigger — a community coming together to raise awareness, start conversations and show that nobody has to face their struggles alone.
Our Mission
Grapplethon is about using the strength of our community to support people who may be struggling in silence.
Men’s mental health continues to be an issue that affects individuals, families and communities. We want Grapplethon to help break down the stigma around talking about mental health and encourage people to reach out, talk and ask for help when they need it.
The money raised through this event will support Andys Man Club and the vital work they do.
Why We Grapple
Grappling is physically demanding. Twenty-four hours on the mats is a huge challenge.
But Grapplethon is about much more than physical endurance.
It represents resilience, connection, friendship and community.
Every round is a reminder that life can be difficult, but we don't have to go through those difficult moments alone. Sometimes simply having someone beside you, willing to listen, can make all the difference.
24-Hour Grappling Marathon
Starting at 12:00 PM on 26 September, we’ll take on 24 hours of grappling, with participants rotating in and out throughout the event.
Some will roll for an hour. Some will push themselves much further. Every round counts.
Everyone Is Welcome
You don't need to be an experienced grappler to be part of Grapplethon.
Whether you step onto the mats, come along to support the participants, bring your family and friends, or simply donate, you are part of the event.
Community & Conversation
Grapplethon is also about creating a space where people can come together, talk and support one another.
Mental health affects all of us in some way, and sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply ask someone:
"Are you okay?"

Four Years. One Community. One Cause.
Over the last three years, we've raised more than £15,000.
We've seen people from different clubs, different backgrounds and different walks of life come together on the same mats for the same reason.
That is what makes Grapplethon special.
This year, we want to go even further.
More rounds. More people. More awareness. More money raised.
Most importantly, we want to continue reminding people that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Join us on 26 September 2026 from 12 PM as we take on another 24 hours together.
Every round counts. Every donation matters. Every conversation could make a difference.
Help us make Grapplethon 2026 our biggest one yet. ❤️
