Grappenhall Sports Club - Flood damage
Donation protected

As you may well know, cold weather, old plumbing and an under insulated roof space do NOT make a good combination!
Opening our much loved Clubhouse on 11th January, we were confronted by a semi-Biblical scene of devastating flooding. Water was literally pouring through the roof! Thanks to the valiant efforts of WRUFC seniors who'd popped in for a friendly afternoon of darts and later a combination of GSFC and WRUFC coaches, the damage has been cleaned up but.....
It's left in it's wake damage that’s estimated to cost around £44,000 to repair and remediate. This includes; electrics, ceilings, flooring, boiler systems, lighting, disabled WC, kitchen equipment and drainage.
The Clubhouse hosts over 600 football and rugby players from age 4 through to open age and Veterans. Along with the players, there are their families and friends, and hundreds of visiting teams’ players and families. The Clubhouse provides a warm, safe environment for the community of Grappenhall to come together in the spirit of sporting friendship.
We know times are tough but we’re hoping that the sporting family, and community could give as much or as little as you can to help us to get back on our feet. All donations large or small will go directly to repairing and remediating the flood damage. Thank you for your support, we appreciate it!
The target is starting small but hopefully with your generosity, we can increase it over the life of the GoFundMe to get ALL the works done.
