My Aunt Marion is one of the sweetest, most generous people I know. From Christmas cookies to the perfect greeting card for every occasion, she has brought joy to many, many people.  She's loved her friends and family well, and now it is time for us to help take care of her.


On April 9 she was put on hospice due to a sudden and serious deterioration of her health fueled by a UTI and E.coli.  The treatment strategy to combat this resulted in severely weakening her immune system and she incurred another bacteriological infection (Clostridium difficile). She was taken by ambulance to a hospice care facility last week where she is receiving treatment.


She’s lost approximately one-fourth of body weight, and her strength is compromised to a point where it is unlikely she'll be able to leave her bed beyond short periods of time. My aunt’s one wish is to be able to return to her home of the last 17 years where she will be able to spend her remaining days in a familiar setting surrounded by family, friends, and her companion dog, Skipper.

In order for her to return to the home she loves, she needs 24 hour professional care. Aunt Marion does not have the financial resources to sustain this kind of care, but, with your generosity, she will be able to return home. We hope to ensure her homecoming next week, and will update this page as plans are put into place.
