Up to 2,000 hogs lost in Kerkhoven barn fire
Hello, our community would like to help out the Krieger family. Kerkhoven is a small farming community and everyone knows Grant and Cindy and their family whether through church, FFA, volleyball, sporting events, school and college or community events. It is with devastation and tragedy that on December 6, 2016 their hog barn along with 1,500 to 2,000 hogs were lost due to a fire. This is their livelihood and income. It will take time and money to get their hog operation up and running again. Current immediate needs and donations will be used to help with day-to-day family and household expenses. Long term goals will be to help them get back on their feet and assist with beginning their hog operation again.
