Hi, my name is Luke Sommers and I am a senior at Grandville high school. I am participating in an event called Senior Survivor. This is an event where I will be competing against 15 other seniors at Grandville to fundraise the most amount of money possible. We will be living at the high school the week of February 12th-17th. Each day we will fundraise throughout the day by this gofundme page and from students at Grandville. At night we will be competing in challenges around the school to earn points and compete for immunity. Each night the 3 students who fundraise the least amount of money and points will be sent home. At the end of the week, the final four students will compete in challenges at the school assembly. Where is your donation going? All money raised will go into the Grandville Student Assistance Fund. The money in this district-wide fund helps students and their families who are financially struggling and need help. For example, in the winter if students or families can't afford appropriate winter attire money would be pulled from this fund to help them get necessary items like coats, hats, and gloves. Other examples of what the GSAF buys are food, school supplies, and necessary home items, and helps provides unique learning opportunities throughout the year.
