Hi, my name is GiAuna.

I’m reaching out because life has hit me with more than I can hold all at once.

I recently stepped up to take temporary guardianship of my baby granddaughter to make sure she is safe, protected, and surrounded with love while her parents get themselves together. I’m committed to giving her stability and a healthy start in life, but everything changed overnight.

Last night, my daughter totaled my car.

As a 1099 worker, my car is my job, my income, and my only way to provide. Without a car, I can’t work, I can’t transport my granddaughter to her appointments, and I can’t meet the responsibilities that come with guardianship.

And on top of that…

Her first birthday is this week, and Thanksgiving is days away. I’m trying my best not to let this situation take away her joy or ruin the holidays for my family.

I’m asking for help during this extremely difficult moment so I can get back on my feet and give my granddaughter the stability she deserves.

What I Need Help With

• A reliable car so I can return to work immediately

• Baby essentials: diapers, wipes, clothing, formula/food, toiletries, bottles, etc.

• Household items now that I’m caring for a baby full-time

• Her birthday + Thanksgiving, so she can still have joy despite everything

Why I’m Asking

This guardianship journey has just started, and I want to make sure my granddaughter has safety, comfort, and consistency, not instability and stress. Losing my car the same week I took her in has put me in a really tough spot.

I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t do it alone right now.
