Hello all, my name is Gram Nylen and I am working towards the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout in troop 606 of Irvine, California. I am working alongside the city of Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee for my Eagle project. Twice annually, 110 marines return stateside to Camp Pendelton from an overseas deployment. When these soldiers return they often lack some of the most basic of supplies or creature comforts so the 2/11 Marine Adoption committee has always provided "Welcome Home Bags" that contain toiletries, PPE equipment, and other items to help soldiers acclimate to civilian life along with providing mental assurance that the people back home care about them and what they are sacrificing especially during this unprecedented time due to the fact that they will have to be quarantined for an additional 2 weeks. Since the 2/11 Committee is entirely volunteer-run and funded any relief they can get helps tremendously so for my project I will be assembling 110 "Welcome Home Bags" for the next group of returning soldiers. I am asking for your support as each bag will cost almost exactly $15 which comes out to $1800 for the lot. If my goal of $1800 is surpassed all funds will be used to purchase future supplies for troops. Again, thank you for any and all support!
