A Service Dog For Gracie
Donation protected
December 17, 2023 Update:
Happy birthday to our sweet Gracie Mae! We’re so proud of you and how hard you work every single day. Thank to you to everyone who has donated to help get Gracie a service dog! We’re excited to tell you that Peter’s Puppies has found a good match for Gracie! A puppy was adopted six months ago, but after the owner’s husband died, he had to be returned. Peter’s Puppies let us know that they will be gifting us the dog, and Moose will be joining us January 13 after spending a month with the trainer! All funds raised will now be able to go toward the training Moose will need to become a service dog for Gracie- specifically seizure response and mobility support. We are saddened by the loss of the previous owner’s husband, but I hope she knows how much this dog will be able to help Grace and the peace it will bring us.
Please continue to share and support Gracie’s GoFundMe as the cost to train Moose will still be around $15,000.

We’re on a waiting list for a service dog for our Gracie who can alert during her seizures, keep her safe, and be a companion for her! Please consider sharing Gracie’s GoFundMe link!
Gracie's Journey: A Service Dog for a Brighter Future
Thank you for taking a moment to be part of Gracie's story. Gracie is a wonderful, happy little 8-year-old girl who loves to laugh, give hugs, and use her new ability to walk to explore the world around her. Gracie's journey has been more challenging than most. Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and epilepsy, every day is a testament to her resilience and the unwavering love of her family. Despite these challenges, Gracie has never lost her smile. Her strength inspires us every day, but her medical conditions also bring significant worries, especially her unpredictable seizures. That's why we're reaching out for your help. We've discovered a ray of hope that can bring a new level of safety and independence to Gracie's life: a specially trained service dog. This incredible animal would be more than a pet; it would be a guardian and a companion, trained to detect the onset of seizures and prevent Gracie from wandering off (eloping), a common concern for children with Autism.
The journey to bring this special friend into Gracie's life is costly. We need to raise $20,000 to cover the purchase, training, and care of this life-changing companion. This service dog would not only be an alert system for seizures but also a bridge for Gracie to connect more with the world around her.
Your support means more than just contributing to a fund. It's about giving Gracie a chance for more freedom, safety, and joy. It's about saying 'yes' to a little girl whose life can be transformed with the help of a four-legged friend. Every donation, big or small, brings Gracie closer to a safer, more independent life. Please consider contributing to Gracie's fund and sharing her story with your network. Together, we can make a difference in Gracie's life.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for believing in Gracie's journey. With heartfelt gratitude, the Kistner Family.
