Hi, my names Olivia and I’m raising funds for Claire’s daughter Gracie-Mae. Gracie went to the doctors with a cough and was sent straight to the hospital. When she reached the hospital she was put on oxygen as she wasn’t able to keep her levels up herself, this was then increased to 100% oxygen as her sats kept dropping. It was believed to be a very bad chest infection and a bacterial cough. She was then put on fluids/magensium drip as she wasn’t eating or drinking. Gracie was still deteriorating at this point so the difficult decision was made that she was being taken to the intensive care unit. When she reached the icu she was given morphine&sedation so her body could rest, Gracie being Gracie kept fighting the sedation and wasn’t getting the rest she needed and the doctors then put a tube down her throat, through her stomach, and directly into her neck and another tube into her neck to help her get the oxygen she needed. Later that day another difficult decision was made to put Gracie into a medically induced coma. Since then the doctors think she has holes in her lungs and a torn oesophogus. Doctors and still working day and night to try and figure out what the core issue is and remedy it. Many people have been asking to donate to a shopping trip for Gracie when she recovers. Claire and her family would love to be able to take Gracie and her 5 siblings Ellie, Harley, Charlie, Riley and violet-Rae on a shopping trip out for all being so strong and brave for their little sister.
