SKY DIVING FOR GRACEMOUNT MANSION
Donation protected
On Saturday 19th April 2025, a local lad is impressively tackling his fear of heights head on and taking on a challenging sky dive at Fife Airport, with Skydive St Andrews, to raise funds for Gracemount Mansion. We can’t thank him enough!
The funds raised will help switch Gracemount Mansion lights on … every penny GMDT raise will contribute towards the much needed redevelopment works.
We would be very grateful for any sponsorship you can give no matter the amount.
Our journey so far …
For those who are following our journey will know that since the closure of Gracemount Mansion in 2019, The Mansion has deteriorated due to vandalism, theft and neglect. As such the maintenance and repair bill is ever increasing.
Hope is not lost and after years of planning and work behind the scenes, Gracemount Mansion Development Trust (GMDT) is a month away from taking ownership of Gracemount Mansion for the community.
The funds raised from this sky dive will help us 'switch the lights on!'
GMDT are grateful to our funders to date who have provided much needed money to undertake the work behind the scenes, allowing us to take ownership of The Mansion.
We thank you, the community, for your patience whilst we have been doing this in the background.
We are also grateful to have received capital funding of £100,000 towards our ‘RAISE THE ROOF’ campaign. This will allow us to undertake essential emergency roof repairs to stop the water ingress. You will see this happening very soon!
Whilst the emergency roof repair works are being undertaken, we will be raising further funds to ‘STOP THE ROT’ and ‘GET THE DOORS OPEN – PARTIALLY’. This will see further critical work on the inside of the building to arrest and treat the wet and dry rot that has taken hold, and some development work to allow parts of the building to be opened on a partial basis whilst we raise further funding for the full redevelopment.
Part of our initial development work is to ‘SWITCH THE LIGHTS ON’. We have applied for funding but require more for the electrical installation work (more is needed for ongoing electrical running costs).
We would be grateful for any contribution no matter how small to help us raise these much-needed funds to ‘SWITCH THE LIGHTS ON’, whilst showing support for this amazing sky-high achievement.
Thank you for helping Gracemount Mansion ‘SWITCH THE LIGHTS ON’ and for supporting the sky dive!
