Support Grace Hawk's Battle with Leukemia

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Luke Hawk and I've created this campaign to support my brother's family and their daughter, Grace Hawk, as she battles with cancer. Please read their story below and give what you can, as they are in this fight for the long haul and are in need of your generosity. #AmazingGrace

Support Grace Hawk’s Journey to Recovery

On January 15th, our family’s world was turned upside down when our sweet 19-month-old daughter, Grace, was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). What started as worsening cold symptoms led to an ER visit, where we received the diagnosis that no parent ever wants to hear. Within 48 hours, Grace had 4 blood transfusions, surgery to place her port, her first round of chemotherapy, and underwent a lumbar puncture and bone marrow biopsy.

While B-ALL is very treatable, the road ahead is not without its challenges. Grace has complications with a leukemia concentration being extremely close to her brain causing the doctors to treat it as a more severe case. She is currently undergoing a 30-day inpatient treatment of intense chemotherapy. If all goes well, we will be able to go home and start weekly treatments for a year, followed by monthly visits for the next two years until she is completely cancer-free.

Being the youngest in our family, Grace has this special way of bringing us all together. We lovingly call her “the princess” because, from the start, she’s been surrounded by so much love and care. She adores her big brothers, Logan (6) and Owen (4), who love her deeply and have been cheering her on from Colorado with their grandparents during this time. Grace loves playing with her brothers, coloring, and being a surprisingly good helper for such a young toddler. Her resilience and joyful spirit inspire us every single day.

This experience has brought new obstacles to our family. We currently rent a home with a 45 minute commute from the hospital. Our hope is to relocate closer to the hospital, ensuring Grace’s safety and reducing the stress of travel for our family. Moving was already a goal for this year, but Grace’s diagnosis has made it an even greater priority. The funds raised will go directly toward:

  • Covering medical bills
  • Travel expenses for treatment
  • Relocation to a home closer to the hospital

We have already been overwhelmed with love, prayers, and support from friends and family. It’s been amazing to see how many people love Grace and want to help her. Please know that there is no obligation to give, but if you are able, we would be deeply grateful for your generosity in helping us through this time.

We see this journey as an obstacle that will make us stronger, love harder, and deepen our faith. While we don’t yet know exactly what the next few years will look like, this experience has been eye-opening. Facing pediatric cancer firsthand has inspired us to want to give back in the future, helping other families navigate this difficult journey through advocacy and support.

Thank you for being part of Grace’s story. Your kindness, prayers, and encouragement remind us every day that even in the hardest moments, there is so much love and hope. Together, we believe Grace will beat this and come out stronger than ever.

With gratitude,
The Hawk Family
