Help feed hungry school kids

Just by chance a child in my new community in Kabata, a small village outside of Fort Portal, Uganda,  asked me to sponsor his uniform and books for school, I said yes.
This started me sponsoring a few kids in my community for school. 
I went to the school today to pay fees and found out there are 677 children enrolled in the school with 8 teachers and only 10 children can afford to pay for school lunch. The rest go hungry all day from 7:30am -5pm.
I walked out of the school feeling weak.
How can children learn when they are hungry all day?

To feed every child breakfast and lunch on a daily basis cost $2.22 (usd) per child.

This gives us a goal of $1,500 per month and $18,000 for 1 school year.
