On February 14th, 2023, Jekari McKinney (13) was outside of his home in Jacksonville, FL playing hide and seek with his younger brothers. Suddenly, two men drove up in a van and abducted Jekari, throwing him into the back of the van and driving off. When it was discovered Jekari was missing his parents jumped in their car and began to search for their son. Thankfully, Jekari was able to escape and his parents were able to locate him and bring him home safely. The police are still looking for Jekari’s abductors and the investigation is ongoing. Having experienced this traumatic event, the McKinney family is traumatized. They no longer feel safe in the house and neighborhood they once called home. They are looking for a new place to call home where they can feel safe and secure again. The current housing market and the cost of moving expenses have put an extreme financial burden on this young family. The unexpected and time-sensitive nature of this situation has created a need for us to come together as a family and community and support them in any way we can. The moving expenses and supplies, security deposit, and increase in the monthly rent are the immediate financial needs. WE NEED YOUR HELP!! We are reaching out to ask you to donate whatever you can to help the McKinney Family reach their $5000.00 goal. This will enable them to move into a new home and feel safe and secure once again.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
