As many of you know being in the food business our passion is food and the guests we serve. For Many years now it has been on my heart to not only serve the paying guest but to serve the less fortunate. ie. the homeless population. My wife and I have served through the salvation army, women’s groups, and our church now has a hotel ministry that serves meals to our brother and sister that are in need at local hotels on Sunday afternoons ,but all this has to be prepared at a kitchen location and transported to the people in need. I’ve had on my mind a way the food could be cooked and served at any locations as needs arise. Feeding the homeless, disaster relief, fund raisers etc. unlimited ways to use a mobile kitchen to serve folks in need. I have researched the possibility of a food type truck but that was way too expensive .a food trailer would be less expensive and less maintenance .but the cost is still high around $25,000 for a fully equipped and food safe trailer. It would also take $10,000 to get started with supplies and food , my goal is to have the kitchen self sustaining by donations, local businesses, restaurants vendors , volunteers, and weekly cooking fundraiser , using volunteers to run the kitchen .I have estimated that it will cost around $1500 for every 500 folks we serve.I know this is a lot of money but the bothers and sisters we could serve and sow a seed of Gods love is priceless. You may be asking the question why now during the Covid 19 pandemic, and that’s a great question but people are in more desperate now, then in anytime in recent history. I am sending this letter to you my brother and sisters in Christ that I know have a heart for serving others. I Cant do this by myself but with your help this will be possible. First I ask you to pray that God blesses this project and pray for your financial involvement. if after your prayers God leads you to contribute to this project of service, please see the go fund me account information attached . and if you are aware of anyone that you think would help in our project please forward this letter. Thank you for your consideration . Proverbs 22:9 A generous person will be blessed for they share their food with the poor.
