On behalf of the Go Tavern family, we want to thank all of our friends and guests who have supported us over the years. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have been forced to suspend our bar services until further notice.
During these difficult times we are doing our best to keep our store open for carry out, with reduced hours and staff. Because of this diminishment in hours and also clientele, all of us (along with the rest of the service industry in Chicago), are feeling the effects of this mandatory closing.
We (the staff) are starting this fundraiser as a way to help the employees you love at GO Tavern navigate the strange waters ahead. All of the staff makes the majority of their living wages off of tips from the nice people that frequent our bar and store. Any money that is donated is being split evenly among the staff and will be used for rent, bills, and basic groceries in order to keep us afloat.
We’re eagerly awaiting seeing you after the restrictions/closures, whether that be buying some local beer to go or sharing a shot with us at the bar. Stay safe, stay healthy, and know we’ll be here when this is over!
