On October 2nd, Gordy fell down a flight of stairs. He suffered 12 fractures over 8 ribs and a cracked shoulder bone. The road to recovery has been longer and bumpier than expected. He was put on a ventilator on the 5th, to allow his body to heal more comfortably. He developed Pneumonia, and suffered a failed extubation on the 17th. He's suffered blood clots, an esophageal bleed and continued fevers throughout his stay in the hospital. He will have a long road to recovery.

We have been so fortunate to have a wonderful community behind us. Our family at QuickSilver Swimming Masters have offered to put on a fundraiser for those wishing to donate to Gordy's care. We have been so grateful for everyone's thoughts and prayers, that we do not want anyone to feel obligated to donate financially, but to those wanting to help, I will share the information below. Thank you to everyone for reaching out, sharing your thoughts and caring words. We love you and cannot express how much easier this road been to travel, knowing our community is behind us.
