Gordon Sinclair Memorial Ride

Gordon Alec Sinclair was not only a father and husband, but he was also a Coastguard volunteer. He joined the Herne Bay team in January 1999, following in both his father, and his uncle's footsteps. He went on to become the Station Officer in August 2015. He was always driven, and passionate about the Coastguard.

Members of various Coastguard units from around the area are proud to present a charity bike ride in his memory. The 'Gordon Sinclair Memorial Ride'.

Sadly Gordon passed away in January of this year. The units have put together a gruelling challenge. Starting from the Herne Bay Coastguard station, the team will travel full circle around Kent. Leaving on Saturday 31st August, and returning the following evening. A total of 163 miles!

All donations from the ride will go to the Coastguard Association. As a voluntary service, the association is heavily reliant on donations from the public. Donations which enable them to help current and retired members in times of hardship.
