Stillwater Skatepark: A Tribute to Gordon Bartel

This fundraiser began as a way to pay tribute to Gordon Brewster Bartel who passed away last October. At the 2022 Lumberjack Days 7/15-17, we had a t-shirt printing tent, skate ramp, and gathered signatures for a petition to name the future Stillwater skatepark after Gordon. 

Due to the overwhelming generosity of friends, family and others inspired by Gordon’s story, we have completely paid for the tribute t-shirts and costs associated with the tribute tent. Thank you!

Going Forward

A groundswell of interest emerged from Gordon’s tribute this last weekend to further propel the Stillwater skatepark effort in his name, and the story reached a wide audience via this news coverage: https://www.fox9.com/news/pro-skateboarders-seek-new-skate-park-in-stillwater-to-honor-skater-who-died
