City officials agree: THE SHOW MUST GO ON! But first, we need to raise money to continue creating content.
What we've found since starting in 2018 is that a little bit of humor and daily spark-note updates go a long way in keeping the community informed and inspired. To do this, it takes a dedicated effort from a small creative team to research, write, film, and edit these news announcements that make up the show.
What is Good Morning Newport?
In June of 2018, Alex Crawford and Riley Hayes started an online talk show to bridge the gap between the Newport Beach community and the city's politics, calling the show Good Morning Newport . Since then, the team has produced 12 full length episodes, the following of the show has reached over 10,000 people, and civic engagement reached an all-time high with local voter turn out reaching 77% in the last election. This is just the beginning.
What do we need?
We are asking for financial support to continue making the show. With additional content being created and released, projected growth at our current rate will reach 50,000 followers by next election season. The funds we raise will go directly to creating more content for everyone to enjoy and be informed by.
The team at Good Morning Newport has been following an abundance of issues and is ready to break out additional stories covering the following topics:
The County's Plans for Expanding John Wayne Airport
The Nazi Salute at a High School Party and the Community's United Response
