I never imagined I would be writing these words.

Just yesterday, my husband, Jose, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He was so young. In an instant, our lives changed forever.

He wasn't just my husband. He was my best friend, my partner in everything, and the most loving father to his three kids, Scarlette, Mia and Joseph. He was the kind of person who could make anyone laugh, always telling jokes and bringing smiles to those around him. He was confident in everything he did, and he had a strength that really inspired everyone who knew him. But above all else, he loved our kids with all his heart. They were his greatest joy and the center of his world.

Now, instead of planning for tomorrow, I am trying to find the strength to make it through today.

There is no way to prepare for this kind of loss. My kids have lost their dad far too soon, and I have lost the person I thought I would grow old with. This grief is so overwhelming, and the road ahead feels impossible to imagine.
