Golding Adoption

Adoption has been something on our hearts for a long time, long before even getting married.
We discovered on our very first date sitting in StoneFire Grill (in December 2010) when we each opened up about our eagerness to adopt a child one day.
Soon after Olivia left the Army in 2015, we decided to pursue adoption as a start to grow our family.
God had other plans- the week after we began our international adoption process with LifeLine Child Services in Columbus, GA, Olivia got pregnant with our daughter, Everly (4). We then moved to Pennsylvania as Rob left the Army in 2018 to earn his Masters in Divinity at Westminster Theological Seminary, and decided to become foster-to-adopt parents through Bethany Christian Services. Well, God had other plans (and humor) - Olivia got pregnant with our son, Robbie (2) about 3 months into our training process.
In 2021, God providentially called us to serve a wonderful church here in Artesia, CA. Rob is the lead pastor, and Olivia works seasonally as a writing instructor while managing a home business (Golding Sweets).
Long story short- we are FINALLY here. Last September 2021, we began our third adoption process with Adopt Help Inc. and got our home study approved through Hope 4 Kids! We are pursuing domestic infant adoption and are open to twins and siblings- so we are awaiting our newest family member(s) to join us as early as the next minute- to a few months from now! We have already paid half the expenses out of pocket (administrative, advertisement, profile for birth mothers, home study) and are so grateful for where we are today by God's provisions. Everly (4), our oldest child is anxiously awaiting her new baby brother(s)/sister(s) and will not stop asking mommy to buy baby toys (especially pacifiers). We cannot express the amount of joy and gratitude we have in our hearts with each passing day, knowing we are one day closer to meeting our child(ren).
Nonetheless, there is a saying, "It takes a village to raise a child," so we are asking you to be a part of that village.
The first step of action that we are requesting is lots of prayers. Prayers for the future child, their birth parents, and us. Prayers for the agency, the lawyers, the social workers, and anyone that will be helping us on this journey. God comes first in our lives, and He has come first throughout this whole process. As much as we have prepared to ensure we provide our children the best environment (spiritual, physical, emotional), we are also convinced that we need to provide the best environment for the birth mother. The birth mother will need help getting legal services and medical fees paid for, which will be up to us, and we would love to do.
We would also like to ask you to be part of our adoption not only with prayer but also with giving if the Lord leads you to do so. It is going to cost us $40-45K total to bring our baby(ies) home. We trust God will provide during this journey in one way or another. We pray you search your heart and, if God is leading you to give, we'd love to answer any questions or chat with you more in-depth.
We pray God blesses every one of you who has taken the time to invest in our journey, whether it be through prayers or monetary donations.
We have both had the privilege of knowing and interacting with several families who adopted throughout our lives, and it's sparked thought and conversation on the matter for a long time now.
We can't think of a better way to serve God than to give ourselves as parents to a child in need
