Gold Hill IOOF 129 brick repointing project

Dear Friends, Supporters, and History Enthusiasts,

We need your help to preserve a piece of our community's rich history. The Gold Hill Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) building, standing proudly for over a century, is now in desperate need of restoration. This historic landmark has weathered time, witnessed generations pass, and served as a cornerstone of our town's identity.

The Gold Hill IOOF building has been a hub of activity, hosting gatherings, events, and meetings that have woven the fabric of our community together. However, the ravages of time have taken their toll, leaving the building in a state of disrepair.
Here is our focus- Repointing the bricks on the front of the building, ADA upgrades, restoration of the historic ballroom: floors, walls and stage, upgrade kitchen to commercial, some electrical and plumbing work. This current gofundme is addressing our brickwork on the front. More gofundme's to come as we work with contractors for bids. Without intervention, this cherished building faces the risk of irreversible damage, potentially robbing future generations of the opportunity to connect with our shared heritage.

We refuse to let this happen.

That's why we're reaching out to you, our community, our friends, and those who understand the value of preserving history. We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the much-needed restoration of the Gold Hill IOOF building. Your support on this gofundme will enable us to:

Repoint our street side brick wall ensuring the building's structural integrity. Restoring the exterior to its former glory, preserving its historic character and charm to be enjoyed by generations to come.
We will create a sustainable maintenance plan to ensure the building's longevity for generations to come.

By contributing to this campaign, you're not just donating to a building; you're investing in our community's future. Your generosity will help us safeguard a piece of our history and create a space where future generations can continue to gather, celebrate, and create memories.

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. Together, we can ensure that the Gold Hill IOOF building stands tall for another century, serving as a testament to our past and a beacon of community pride for the future.

Thank you for your support and for being a part of this important endeavor.

With gratitude,
Members of Gold Hill Lodge #129
