Hello everyone! I am Kim, and my son's name is Grayson. For those of you that know him, he's never been big into sports, but I felt like there aren't many great careers that can come from graduating the University of Xbox. So I pushed him out of his comfort zone and signed him up for a local youth clay shooting team. We were blown away with how much he fell in love with the sport! It's been so good for him, and the plan is for this to keep going so he can build on these skills and make memories and friendships. The downside is, it's very expensive. Very is an understatement. A flat of ammo costs $82 with prices increasing, and he burns through them quickly depending on the competition schedule. There are also fees for every event. THEN, there's the dream gun. It was a giant investment for a GIANT kid that I was afraid would outgrow anything smaller. So I did it. I was optimistic it would be a group purchase, but it's just a mom purchase at this point, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Grayson turns 13 on September 19th, and he understands the sacrifices we've had to make to afford his expensive sport. He has a room that is overfull with stuff, and for his birthday he is asking for any contributions to the gun fund. We call this the GoGunMe, lol. If you are able to contribute anything to help pay down the debt of his shotgun (it's a Zoli Z Sport if you'd like to look it up, a beautiful firearm he'll never grow out of). The goal is to have the gun paid off and have 15 flats of ammo (250 rounds per box) before next shooting season. Please consider chipping in or bringing some Federal 12 Gauge ammo to his party!
PS, I'm not a complete savage and I did get him some cool stuff for his birthday as well.
