Too often, people hear that trafficking exists, but do not know what it actually looks like, how victims are targeted, what warning signs to recognize, or what they can do to help.

The Children of God Foundation was created to change that.

We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about child and human trafficking while supporting education, prevention, protection, and community empowerment initiatives against exploitation.

"The Children of God" Film Project

One of the projects connected to this mission is The Children of God, an independent film project created to bring the realities of human and child trafficking to a wider audience.

The story follows a young woman whose life becomes entangled in a trafficking network, revealing how exploitation can extend far beyond what many people imagine. Set against a world where corruption can hide in plain sight, the film explores the realities of trafficking, the systems that allow exploitation to continue, and the devastating impact it has on innocent lives.

Inspired by real cases and the realities of human trafficking, The Children of God was created to do more than entertain. It is intended to open conversations, challenge audiences, and encourage people to recognize that trafficking can happen in communities, neighbourhoods, and institutions that many consider safe.

The project began as an independent film initiative through GoFilms Productions, and it has since become part of a broader vision for awareness and advocacy through the Foundation.

GoFilms Productions and The Children of God Foundation are separate organizations, but they share a commitment to bringing important stories about trafficking and exploitation to the public.

Through this partnership, the Foundation can support awareness initiatives and storytelling projects, while GoFilms Productions provides the professional film and media production capabilities needed to bring these stories to audiences.

The long-term vision goes beyond a single film.

We want to create a growing body of films, documentaries, educational content, public events, and awareness initiatives that can continue addressing human trafficking and helping communities recognize and respond to exploitation.

Why Storytelling Matters

Real cases of human and child trafficking can be difficult to understand when they are reduced to statistics. Behind every number is a person, a family, and a story.

The Foundation believes responsible storytelling can help bring these realities into focus.

Through films, documentaries, educational content, and other forms of storytelling, we want to bring important stories to audiences who may never encounter them otherwise.

Our goal is not to sensationalize these experiences, but to use storytelling as a tool to educate, create awareness, encourage conversations, and inspire action.

Our Journey So Far

The vision for The Children of God began through GoFilms Productions, an independent film and media production company committed to bringing important stories to audiences through professional film and media.

Before developing the larger vision for the Foundation, the team produced a teaser for The Children of God in Fort Myers, Florida, and presented it alongside the short film A Day Without Us at the Disney Springs AMC Dine-In Theatre in Orlando and later at the Colossus Vaughan Cineplex in Canada.

These events brought together audiences, community members, filmmakers, and supporters who believe that storytelling can play an important role in creating awareness and encouraging positive change.

The long-term vision goes beyond a single film. We want to create a growing body of films, documentaries, educational content, public events, and awareness initiatives that can continue addressing human trafficking and helping communities recognize and respond to exploitation.
