Hello, my name is Josh Ballesteros. I have SPMS. I have had this ailment for 13 years now. MS is making my body numb. My entire left side of my body from head to toe is useless. I have been in a power chair for 3 years now. I have to wear a catheter if I leave the house. I stay home a lot and that’s ok. My quality of life is getting worse. I feel pretty useless as I can’t hardly do anything for myself. My wife and I have been married for over 26 years now we have raised a son and a daughter. MS really destroys your life in more ways than one. Through the good and bad once God got involved things are getting better, well my spiritual walk has grown stronger. So the story is, I was sitting here looking at how much I spend on my three dogs. And all of a sudden, I heard the Holy Spirit say why don’t you do some gift bags for the homeless? If you knew me, you would know I’m like everyone else, turn my head and look the other way, have a bad attitude questioning. Why are you on the street? But now that i have been saved, I don’t feel like that anymore. Anyway, The Holy Spirit says why don’t you make some gift bags for the homeless. I said ok! And opened my Amazon account. I have not asked anybody for money. I was using my own funds so I knew I could only do so much. So I bought enough stuff for 20 bags at maybe $12 a bag. So I spent about 250 for 20 bags. Once I receive all the inventory, I called my sister and she came over and help put all the bags together so that was a blessing then I reached out to my community group at my church. I asked a few random people to come over and get me and we’ll take 10 bags and distribute them downtown to whoever God wants these bags to go to. I don’t have the energy to be out all day anyways, so it worked out. It was a blessing to get to stop and ask if they needed help and then I would say Jesus told me to give this bag to you. They would come to the window. I would hand them a bag, ask them their name and if I could pray for them. And we did. Since then, I have done a total of 60 bags over the past couple of months. I’m only doing what I could afford, but this would be a huge blessing to see if God wants me to do more. I’m really doing this to encourage you to do the same thing. It has been a great blessing and a joy that I can’t get from anywhere else. I’m happy that Jesus allowed me to involve my community group so that they can get some joy and blessing out of it too. thank you to everyone who donates and God bless you. I’m not boasting about anything that I’ve done. This is all the Holy Spirit.

In the first set of bags, I put in three pairs of socks, two bottles of water, a Dinty moore meal, a spork, an emergency foil, blanket, deodorant, a couple of body, wipe towels, a package of Tylenol, shaving cream, razor, a flashlight, shampoo, body wash gel, five Q-tips, nail clippers, a couple of packages of antibiotic and a 9 x 12 seven mil piece of plastic for shelter.

Then the next 40 bags, we did all that same stuff, but my sister had put in each bag and applesauce a sleeve of crackers, two cans of soup, 4 peanut butter packages and three granola bars.

this winter I was thinking about sleeping bags, stocking caps, gloves, socks, a pack of hot hands a two person tent, a sleeping bag,

a hygiene bag with nail clippers, razor & shaving cream, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, comb, body wipes, a packet of Tylenol, 3 Neosporin, emergency blanket, flashlight , 2 bottles of water, 3 pairs of socks, underwear and the colorful tote bag to carry it in.

I know it’s got to be hard to get hygiene products so I’m trying to keep that in mind.
