As many of you know and others will be blessed to hear, DJ and Emily Weaver are adopting! Thank God with us as we celebrate and welcome a new baby girl with them. Lucy - their 2 year old daughter and soon-to-be big sister - is SO EXCITED. :-)
The Weavers were selected for this adoption on Thursday, July 25th by a birth mother in Florida. While she was due in mid-August, DJ and Emily received notice of the early birth of the baby girl on Saturday, July 27th!
It's been a long road for the Weavers. After raising almost the full amount for their first match, they unfortunately experienced failed placement of the baby. They endured the heartache of two more failed adoptions after that. With 3 failed adoptions not only were their hearts feeling strained, but their fundraising efforts were depleted as well. They lost about $25,000!
Now, we all have the opportunity to be part of the wonderful and fascinating Weaver story. With the incredibly short notice, DJ and Emily are in need of significant funding ($45,000) in little time. Will you prayerfully consider coming alongside them with a financial gift? All funds will go directly toward expenses associated with the adoption.
