Supporting the Olson Family—Help Cedric’s Legacy Live On

Cedric Olson (39) battled cancer with incredible courage and strength beginning in November of 2022 with the initial diagnosis of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the head and neck. He endured a surgery removing 1/5 of his tongue and 30 lymph nodes in his neck. Then 30 rounds of radiation, 5 days a week for 6 weeks. From that point there was hope until August of 2023 where the cancer returned very aggressively. This led to more treatments including surgeries and multiple rounds of chemotherapy - all of which were unsuccessful. He underwent another surgery placing a tracheostomy to aid with breathing and a feeding tube for nutrition. He started a new trial chemotherapy February 2024 (1st at Sanford—200 nationwide). Cedric continued to fight each day with an immense amount of dignity and strength during this difficult journey. After a relentless fight, the cancer continued to progress and he transitioned into the final phase of hospice care. Cedric’s courageous battle ended on May 8, 2024.

Cedric was a devoted husband to Lyndsy and loving father to his children Xander (15), Tyler (13), Guinevere (8), Oliver (4) . As he prepared to say goodbye, he worried about the future of his family. His greatest concern was the well-being of his wife and their children, who will face immense emotional and financial challenges in the days ahead.
