On Saturday March 28th thousands of Rhode Island's took the State House is defense of democracy, in a collective cry for community, and in a mass mobilized march in a most historic fashion.

What was unmissable and a testament to what makes Rhode Island like no other place in this country, was the omnipresence of art, expression, and documentarians, on the ground and in the skies, on stages, street corners, leading the procession. blending in the crowd and following in tow.

We are not just home to the Creative Capital, Rhode Island has historically always thrived through lively experimentation, bucking the norm, and making room for creative freedom to shine -- and boy did our creatives shine!

In an effort spearheaded by Indivisible Metro's Artivism Committee, over two dozen individuals and groups answered the "Call to Artists" and joined in on the State House steps, around it's lawn, in the downcity streets throughout the march, and along "Artivism Avenue," singing, drumming, puppeteering, emceeing, dj'ing, sound engineering, and so much more, that breathed LIFE into the mass movement -- simultaneously and In orchestrated concert, there were also another near dozen photographers, videographers, even a live painter all also capturing, documenting and archiving beautifully and intentionally history on display, from their various lenses and through their varying artful mediums.

THE ASK: For these artists and documentarians offered us their gifts, their talents, and the incalculable value of their art, most without expecting anything in return, we are seeking to ensure we offer every artist and documentarian willing to accept, their predetermined ideal rate/honorarium/token of appreciation for their contributions. To this we are seeking to raise $7500 towards supporting over 30+ artist who were vital in making Rhode Island history, and thus are asking you to HELP FUND THE CREATIVES AND SAVE OUR DEMOCRACY, BECAUSE WE BELIEVE THAT ART AND ACTIVISM ARE INDIVISIBLE!
