With heavy hearts, we share the tragic news of the passing of our dear friend Ajit Jha, who courageously fought cancer but left us far too soon at the age of 37.

Ajit came to Canada in January 2020 as an international student at Cape Breton University, full of dreams and determination to build a better future for his family. A devoted husband and loving father, he worked tirelessly to support his loved ones back home in India.

He leaves behind his wife, a 13-year-old daughter, and a 7-year-old son — a young family now facing an unimaginable loss.

Ajit was more than just a friend — he was a gentle, kind soul who always put others before himself. Now, in this time of deep sorrow, it’s our turn to give back.
