GMR & S2T are putting on an all day event on Saturday 28th February in Gran Turismo 7! We will be using a variety of cars over a variety of tracks for 8hrs raising awareness and taking donations for the McGrath Foundation! We will have multiple streams of the event all day, from personal POV's to a full commentated broadcast of the main events!
GMR and S2T are both GT7 communities hosting regular series racing. Both communities also race in each other's events and have been supporting each other for a long time. To be hosting an event like this together makes us excited to show off what we can do on the track and how we can present our cars to look amazing and can proudly show off how we are supporting the cause. We recently had a GMR member's spouse directly affected with a Cancer diagnosis which sparked an instant response from both communities in creating a pink livery round to show our support. After a successful pink livery round we have extended the idea to a charity day event and are proud to present this to you!
We would love for you to donate and/or jump on track with us in your best pink liveries to help us raise awareness and assist McGrath Foundation with some funds to assist the amazing community work they do for people affected by and living with Cancer. We all know someone who is either directly affected by some form of cancer, whether it's themselves or one of their loved ones. By hosting this event we hope to raise awareness and reduce the stigma around conversations about Cancer, both negative and positive.
Mcgrath Foundation focuses mainly on breast cancer, however we acknowledge that Cancer has many forms and does not discriminate. While we may be supporting a foundation this year for breast cancer feel free to represent whatever Cancer based charity you wish to if joining us on track, and if this inspires you to donate to a different Cancer foundation then we are more than happy for you to share that with us too so we can give you a little shoutout!
