GM CHOICE PROTECTION FUND

FROM: Carrie Eastman Crow - On Facebook I exposed a parent group and the candidates they support; filed challenges to eliminate EVERY candidate (Dem or Rep) off the ballot, leaving only their chosen (2) for ANY & ALL OF US to vote for in the GM School Board race. The judge dismissed their claims, seeing them for what they were. However, had we not congregated and hired an attorney with emergency notice and defended, the parent group would have won by default, thus eliminating any other choice for all of us.

We hired an attorney. I believe he is an alum and he graciously gave us a ridiculous discount. None the less, to defend from the DIRTY DEED, WAS NOT DIRT CHEAP....and our fees were $5,000.

More importantly, this was a hostile takeover attempt of the GM School Board guaranteeing this parent group (2) seats on the board and without anyone else's VOICE in the entire community being heard - AND with a big, chaotic, "district takeover" agenda planned for GM................. I SAY:

"IF YOU WANT TO TAKE OVER GM - FINE!! THEN EARN. OUR. VOTES."

We fought and won this time - but this community needs to be vigilant and engaged. Please help with these fees; IF:

I hope we raise even more. Every dollar over $5,000 will go to the GM Foundation!

I hope every teacher, citizen, farmer, retiree, bus driver, professor, parent, voter - gives $15 and stays tuned into this race.

Please assist us in stamping down this attack on our district and voting citizens.
