Gloucestershire First Balaji Temple

Dear Devotees and Friends,

We, the members of the International Hindu Community Association of Gloucester (IHCAG), have some truly wonderful and historic news to share. As a registered community charity, we're working to create a permanent spiritual home for Hindus in Gloucestershire. We want you to know that your trust is our highest priority. Every donation we receive is transparent and fully accounted for, with our finances publicly registered with the UK government's Charity Commission. The annual reports will be published every December.

With the divine blessings of Lord Narayana, TTD-approved deities of Lord Balaji, Sri Devi Ammavaru, and Bhoodevi Ammavaru, along with Lord Shri Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman, will be arriving in our community by late August! This marks a monumental first step towards our long-term vision of building a permanent temple in the heart of our county.

This sacred initiative requires a total of £20,000+ to bring our vision to life. Your generous contributions will cover more than just the cost of the idols. They will help us acquire all the essential items needed to perform daily pujas, ceremonies, and special events.

Here is a breakdown of how your contributions will be used:
  • Idols - Lord Balaji, Sri Devi Ammavaru, and Bhoodevi Ammavaru (£4,000)
  • Idols - Lord Seetharama, Lakshmana, and Anjaneya (£3,000)
  • Transportation & Customs for Idols (£3,000)
  • Idols' Jewellery and Bronze Items (£2,000)
  • Renting of the Community Centre & Running Costs (6 months) (£10,000)
  • Buffer for Unexpected Costs (£3,000)

Last year TTD idols shared by Basingstoke, Milton Keynes and Gloucester are hosted at Hindu Mandir Basingstoke. The anonymous donar of Milton Keynes paid the idol cost of Rs 3 Lakhs and the remaining amount towards idol Jewellery, Brass , Bronze items and transportation costs equally shared by the 3 organisations. Now no sharing and poojas will be performed to our own new Gloucester idols for 365 days. Last year we collected donations only for the above items. Now both Milton Keynes and Basingstoke organisations agreed to refund £300 of Gloucester share spent on Jewellery, Brass and Bronze items.

Your generous contribution will directly help us bring these beloved deities home. By donating, you are not just funding idols—you are helping to lay the foundation for a spiritual sanctuary, a place of worship and community that will serve current and future generations in Gloucestershire.

Please join us in this historic and spiritual milestone. Together, we can make this dream a reality and create a home for our beloved deities.

Thank you for your support and devotion.
