GlobeMed Internship in Nepal

GlobeMed at Berkeley is a student run non-profit organization partnered with Dhulikhel Hospital to promote sustainable change through community development, social activism, and international collaboration. 55% of Nepal’s rural communities do not have access to basic sanitation services, leaving them susceptible to harmful water-borne diseases. Each year we work in partnership with Dhulikhel Hospital to develop solutions to these issues and every summer a team of interns travel to Nepal to help implement programs. Money raised will go directly towards funding my participation in this six week internship. Currently, we are working to implement a permanent WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) intervention as well as continue to teach a curriculum on menstruation and nutrition for school-aged children in these resource-denied regions.
