Hi! My name is Sasha, and I have been a part of Global Medical Brigades at UC Riverside for about 3 years now. Ever since I joined, I have always wanted to go on a brigade, to provide medical services to underprivileged communities and to people in need. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UCR medical chapter has not been able to go on an in-person brigade since 2019. Due to the vaccinations and covid safety precautions, we are able to go on a brigade to Honduras this summer! I am fundraising money to pay for my brigade cost, where I will be working with healthcare providers and patients in the medical clinic. The funds will be used to cover lodging, transportation, emergency insurance, food, AND they will go towards helping the community. Thank you so much!
