Hi, my name is Nia and I am a current second-year medical student at Meharry Medical College. Our college is partaking in a global health outreach trip to Honduras during February 2024, and I am graciously asking for funding support. During the trip, we will be providing medical services to local residents who don't have access to critical medical resources. We provide health screenings, vaccinations, and many other vital services. All donations will go towards reducing the cost of the trip (flight, lodging accommodations, food/travel) as well as any medical supplies that we will need. As someone who grew up in a low income community in the Bronx, I understand the importance of giving back to those in need and my passion for serving underrepresented communities, is one of the main reasons I decided to pursue a career in medicine.
