Hello, my name is Eric Kellermann, I am 15, have been in scouts for 10 years and currently a member of Troop 13 in Oxford PA. I am beginning my Eagle Scout project which is to design and construct a medium sized pavilion at Glen Roy Preserve, a public park located in Nottingham PA. For my project I have been working with Mr. Philip Sapp to coordinate with the preserve. The pavilion will serve as a valuable resource to Glen Roy Preserve, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the area in comfort and shelter. This project will not only benefit the community but also showcase my commitment to leadership and service.
My project began with creating drawings of the pavilion in CAD with help from the architect Thomas Amorin to establish what materials are needed and obtain the required building permit. I currently estimate that the project will require approximately $2000 in materials and supplies.
The building portion of the pavilion will begin in late July which will require fundraising to be completed by then. Once fundraising is completed, I will lead my troop members, friends, family, and peers in the construction of the pavilion.
Today I am reaching out to you to inquire if you or your organization would be interested in contributing to my fundraising efforts. Any amount you can provide, no matter the size, would be greatly appreciated and go a long way to helping me achieve my goal.
Update: I reached my original goal of $2000 with the help of this GoFundMe. I am now raising my goal to $2600 to be able to include making 2 nice picnic tables for the Pavilion as well.
