My name is Byron Glenn, and I have a heart for communities, in particular those communities that are underserved. A couple of years ago my wife and I decided to put on a "turkey giveaway" for the community we were living in, and with the help from our family and friends we were able to give away over 100 turkeys!
Last year we took some time off from this role, as we purchased our first home. However, this year we are excited to step back into the role of serving in this particular capacity, as we announce the 2nd Annual Glenn Turkey Giveaway! This November we will be partnering with the Boys and Girls Club at Glenview Elementary in Nashville, and will provide turkeys for the families in the club! Also, we will be cooking a traditional Thanksgiving meal for all the kids in the club and their families (over 100 people) that day! I have not only worked with this club in the past, I know many of these kids' stories.
From around the country many have asked how they can be a part of this day, and after prayer my wife and I decided to start a GoFundMe account to provide those who would like to partner with us the opportunity to give.
Above all things we are asking for prayer! Prayer has been an important tool my whole life, and I believe that prayer can change things. Holidays, for most, is the only time their family will get together for a family meal. I want prayer warriors praying for those families that it will not be a one time or a two times a year occasion, but on a more regular basis.
If you do not feel compelled to give, will you at least partner with us, and pray for the families?
